Barbara Carroll is a contributing editor to Simple Scrapbooks magazine. In addition to her scrapbooking work for that publication, she writes a column about photography. She began taking pictures at age eight, when her parents gave her a Brownie camera. Photography has been a passion ever since. Barbara began scrapbooking in 1999, after innocently wandering into a scrapbook store in Tucson. Motivated by her son’s high school graduation, she began her first album and hasn’t stopped scrapbooking since. A week of scrapping can include heritage layouts, pages documenting her children when they were young, travel albums, and numerous current subjects that interest her. Barbara scraps non-chronologically, is happy with a minimum of materials, and enjoys every moment of it.

Beth Proudfoot, frequent contributor to Simple Scrapbooks magazine and teacher at bigpicturescrapbooking.com, began scrapbooking in 2000 after the birth of her first son. However, it’s only in the last year or so that Beth has discovered and embraced her scrapbooking style. She designs simple, graphic layouts and loves to experiment with color. If she could keep just one item in her stash of scrapbooking supplies, she would, hands down, pick her tall stack of Bazzill cardstock. Through scrapbooking, Beth has become more aware of the connections people share and the moments that make life full. She considers herself a storyteller and feels lucky to be able to document her stories with paper and photographs |
