Our first guest is Margot Potter a jewelry designer, author, TV personality, teacher and design guru. She’s written three successful books on jewelry making and design for and is currently working on her forth and fifth titles. You can see her regularly on QVC as the on air expert for the Suspicion™ marcasite jewelry line. She has taught creativity seminars for Swarovski® at the Tucson Gem Show for the past three years and had three of her designs selected for the Create Your Style™ with Swarovski® Design Expresssions from Brazil and Russia publication this past year. She’s also a member of the Beadalon Design Team and creates designs for their print ads, packaging and catalogs.
Our second guest today is Karan Olson-Smith, owner Magic Mesh. This mother of two young sons, has started three businesses from shear imagination. Her list of artistic ventures include an upscale consignment boutique called Bloomingdeals, and a full-color monthly magazine. She also worked as a radio celebrity (a.k.a. The Love Dr). Magic Mesh is her newest creation to crafters in paper arts. Having left the business fast track for the family fast track she has created a home-based business to fit her life-long desire to help America "build a better card"! Karan is a college graduate with a background in Marketing, Management, Sales and Communications... You can find her and her children, cats, yorkies and husband, Bryan, in Lake City, MN. |
