Suze Weinberg

Nationally known, Suze Weinberg, has been designing and creating with rubber stamps and mixed media for over 20 years. Suze, a past president of Jersey Shore Calligraphers Guild has been a professional Calligrapher for 20 years and owned and operated her own agency, The Suze Weinberg Design Studio, Inc. in Howell, NJ for many years. Her calligraphic & stamped work has been published in the Speedball Textbook, The Greeting Card Design Book, Rubber Stamper Magazine, RubberStampMadness, National Stampagraphic, VAMP Stamp News, Calligraphy Review and, her own calligraphy book (published by Troll Associates in November 1995)“Do It Yourself” Calligraphy geared for ages 12 to adult. In the first two months of its publication this book sold over 50,000 copies & immediately went into its second printing. Suze has spent the last 20 years teaching rubber stamp related classes for stamp stores, clubs and conventions all over the United States and abroad with classes in Hawaii, Germany, England, South Africa, Australia and two Royal Caribbean cruises. In January of 1997 Suze added Editorial Consultant to her list of accomplishments when she began writing her Q and A column “Schmooze With Suze” for “The Rubber Stamper Magazine” which remained a popular feature for five years. Suze has developed many products for the stamping community. She has a large signature line of products, many of them manufactured by Ranger Industries (which fall under the banner of Melt Art™) and are carried by stores worldwide. In her effort to promote all aspects of stamping, as well as products from many manufacturers, she is regarded as a consultant in the industry. Her first video“Ultimate Enamels” came in 1998 and the second“Backgrounds Into The Forefront” in April of ‘99. That same year Sterling Publications published her first hardcover book “The Art of Rubber Stamping”. She has two “How-to” books “Totally Textured Stamp Art” and “Melt Art Impressions” published by Design Originals. In her ‘other life’ Suze is quite proud to be an accomplished musician, having studied piano since age 6 and singing professionally as a cantor in her synagogue for 16 years. She is also a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC. She and husband Lenny, a marine engineer, have been married for 42 years. They have 3 married children and four grandchildren. Two beautiful cats, Sterling and Mollie, round out the household and think the tub of embossing powder on Suze’s work table is a fancy litter box!! Her Website can be found at SchmoozeWithSuze.com.
